Memorial Day 2019 For so many people Memorial Day is sacred. A day to honor those who have sacrificed so much to serve this great country and fight for each of us to have a better future. Some giving the ultimate sacrifice. To those of you who have served our great nation I am so extremely grateful. Our veterans are the ultimate heroes. Loved ones lost will never be forgotten. As parents my husband and I have made a significant effort to teach our children the importance of these great sacrifices. The tradition of visiting grave sites of family, cleaning stones of those whose families are not close enough to maintain them and helping to place flags at the cemetery each Memorial Day weekend. These traditions will hopefully help pass on the stories of loved ones and the importance of each individual who came before us.
